Wichita Warrior Service Hours

As the Wichita Warriors are a volunteer-based organization, we are constantly evaluating ways to continue to grow and improve our organization. With that growth comes a need for increased participation from families. We have looked at how other similar organizations have navigated this path as well as focused on the best way our organization can continue to grow and align with what benefits Warrior families most. As a result, we are adding in a community service component to our registration. All Warrior families will be required to complete and log a minimum of 4 hours of community service per school year."

There will be volunteer opportunities throughout the year including fundraisers, building works days, janitorial duties, tournament admissions, hospitality rooms, etc. These will be posted and emailed for all families to be aware of. NOT included in the community service hours are game day responsibilities such as concessions, admissions, bookkeeping, clock, line judging etc. Those responsibilities will still be assigned to each family and you will receive your assignment before the season starts.

We will have more info coming on how you can easily track your hours and see volunteer opportunities.

All coaches families will be exempt from community service hours

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!  All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize

(1 Corinthians 9:24-25)
